RUSSIAN CAMPAIGN (22 JUNE - 14 DECEMBER 1812) - IMPERIAL DECREES
Description: Lot of 7 Imperial decrees, printed in Paris, Imprimerie Impériale. Good condition. All the regulations were composed at the imperial headquarters in Smolensk, between 23 and 24 August 1812, during the Russian Campaign. These decrees witness the extraordinary legislative vitality of Napoleon, even when engaged in a military campaign. Decisions were made by the Emperor, then dispatched by a liaison officer to Paris, to be printed and spread throughout the Empire.
Housed in a red ¼ morocco slipcase raised bands gilt lines and lettering with Napoleonic emblems, and blue cloth chemise.
